A Chorus Line
(August 19-25)
August 19th-25th- Adam Da Ros presents A Chorus Line, with choreography by Rylee Laveck. There will be 7 performances, at KPAC. Evening shows start at 8 pm, and there will also be a 2 pm matinee on Saturday August 21st, with no performances on Sunday August 22nd. Tickets are $15 and are available at Simple Pleasures, the DC Art Gallery, and Shoppers Drug Mart. A Chorus Line features some mature themes and language, and may not be suitable for children. For more information, e-mail dawsoncreekmusicals@gmail.com or call Adam at (778) 899-2326.
A Chorus Line takes place in that most intimidating of settings for any performer: the audition. However, over the course of the show this audition becomes more than a mere test of skill, as the characters reveal their own personal stories, and discuss the risks and rewards of a life devoted to the performing arts. In the end, each character must decide whether it is worth the effort to risk ending up a nameless face in the chorus, just for the chance to prove they have what it takes to be that special “one”.
